2 November 2012 press release from Andrew Weir Shipping Limited.

Andrew Weir Shipping Ltd regrets to advise that owing to gale force winds, Maersk have made the decision that the vessel, ‘Lars Maersk’, carrying transhipment containers from the UK to connect with the RMS St Helena on Voyage 182 in Cape Town,  after spending two days outside Cape Town waiting to berth and with no immediate prospects of a container ship berth being available in the immediate future, has proceeded to Port Elizabeth and Durban.

The ‘Lars Maersk’ will now discharge the transhipment containers upon her return leg of the voyage to Cape Town.  There are thirty-three containers on board which unfortunately will now not be shipped on Voyage 182 of the RMS St Helena which is expected to arrive at St Helena on 13th November 2012; these will now be carried on the following RMS voyage, Voyage 183, expected to arrive at St Helena on 3rd December 2012.
