In the mud, wind and rain, Rovers notched up their eighth win in eight games, beating Bellboys 2-1 on Sunday 15 July.

Andrew Yon struck first for Rovers after just 3 mins, pouncing on a loose ball after Bellboys keeper, Craig Yon was unable to hold on to a shot from Rico Benjamin.

A minute later Rovers had doubled their lead, a determined solo effort by Mark Beard after beating two players.

Bellboys were slow to get into the game, however, they defended well and stopped Rovers from extending their scoring. The midfield battle was especially fierce in the slippery conditions. Bellboys, now bolstered by the addition of Anthony ‘Nails’ Thomas, alongside Ryan Benjamin and Tommy Lee Young worked tirelessly throughout. However, Rovers pairing of Dean Okali and Andrew Yon were difficult opponents and contested every play.
Bellboys pulled one goal back on 54 mins. Thomas powering in a thunderous first time shot from 18 yards from a Josh Young cutback.

There were chances for both teams right to the end, but neither was able to apply the finishing touch. In wet and windy weather conditions, on a muddy pitch, the game ended 2-1 to Rovers.
