Eugene Williams, Anselmo Pelembe and Martin Joshua all scored in Harts 3-0 win against Raiders on Saturday 12 May, in the second weekend of the new football season.

Due to many players being involved in the annual fishing competition on the day, only 1 game was held. Raiders created more of the chances in the opening 25 minutes of the game and looked the more likely to score.

It took a penalty to break the deadlock. Raiders defender Troy Stevens was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty box; despite his protests of innocence, referee Deon Yon pointed to the spot. Williams sent the keeper the wrong way to put Harts 1-0 for the half time break.

In the second half Raiders put everthing into finding a goal of their own, making it an exciting match to watch. However, Harts extended their lead through a powerful strike by Pelembe on 58 mins and Joshua made it 3-0 with 10 minutes left to play.

Full report with comment from the players will be in next week's Sentinel, out on Thursday 17 May.
